Vernal, UT to Winnemucca, NV

Let's start with knitting progress from Boulder to Vernal.
From Vernal we made our way to Salt Lake City to try another Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives suggestion, Red Iguana.
This one was a clear winner!  The food was excellent (and ended up serving as both lunch & dinner), the margaritas were phenomenal, and even the coffee was good.  Plus the vibe was friendly.  We're kind of sad we're not going through Salt Lake on the way back.
My chile relleno burrito.
Yum.

And then we get back on the road.
Check it out - a Morton's Salt factory...on the Great Salt Lake!
More landscape from Utah (we think).
But this is Nevada.  We're sure.
And then, we come to Winnemucca, Nevada.
I love that there's a Potato Road.

Of course our hotel has a smoky casino in the lobby. We went down for a little bit.  I managed to win not only my $10 back, but an additional $21.55.  Then I got bored.  There's nothing like the sound of $31.55 in nickels being paid out!

  1. I am LOL: I was just thinking I knew Potatoe Road! It is just next to a marsh (marsh potatoe!).
I am really, sometime I am wondering if really my humour isn't even understandable by normal human being...
