Quick Question

Is it a requirement of employment that if you work at the Department of Motor Vehicles, Ministry of Transportation, or whatever you call the place where you get your driver's license you are humorless and unpleasant?  I mean, they're technically public servants, and I am part of the public.  Is it an unpleasant experience in every country?  Is it meant to be a driving disincentive?

I'm just asking.

  1. One explanation: March. Yes, it could be a weather-related phenomenon, given our recent spate of grey skies, rain, snow, rain, snow, grey skies. I tend to get the cheerful, friendly folk, but I renew during a different time of the year. Sorry to hear you had an unpleasant experience.

  2. Nothing compare to crossing the border to the States when you are French...
Custom guy:"Why are you coming to the USA?"
Me: "Because it is a beautiful Country!"
The Guy: "Okay now seriously, why are you coming to the USA?"
    ...
I was going to Ithaca, one of my favourite place on Earth, I wasn't joking at all!
